Barcelona Holiday Villas

Holiday villas for rent in and around Barcelona are highly sought after and the choices are plentiful.
Barcelona holiday villas include farmhouses, beach villas, city villas and villas further away in the mountains. Self-catering villas are available with many different facilities, like swimming pool and air conditioning in different sizes and price levels to match most budgets.

If you do not want to rent a holiday villa in Barcelona itself there are lots of options close to Barcelona for you to enjoy your leisure time, the local culture and nature, including tourist areas near the sea and beaches, inland landscapes and cultural heritage.

San Cugat del Valles
is a mere 15 km / 9 miles north-west of the city and therefore being only a short drive away. It is a medium-sized town and is so close to Barcelona that it is often considered to be a suburb. San Cugat del Valles offers tourists a popular shopping mall, two cinemas, a good museum, some superb medieval monasteries.

The seaside town of Sitges really does have something for everyone, and at only 40 km / 25 miles away it is within easy driving range of Barcelona. With family friendly beaches along the Costa Dorada, an interesting museum with Picasso art works, waterfront cafes and plenty of Catalan gift shops dotted around the pedestrianized streets.

The Besos River is a river flowing through Catalonia and out into the Mediterranean Sea. Some of the most important cities it passes through are:La Garriga, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona, Montcada I Reixac, Granolles, Les Franqueses, Montmelo and Aiguafreda. It is a typical Mediterranean river, very irregular during the year. In the past, Besos River was a link between the Catalan coast and the interior. A holiday villa rental somewhere along this river is an attractive option when visiting Catalonia and Barcelona. Penede is an outstanding region of Catalonia, lying between Barcelona and Tarragona. It has wonderful landscapes, and what make Penedes most popular are the vineyards. Aromatic white wines are produced here with fresh aromas, as well as rosé and red wine with a full body and rich flavor. What makes this town unique is its cavas (two of the main producers are Freixenet and Cordoníu), or sparkling wines, from the town of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, which have a magnificent quality, to the delight of many in Spain making it famous worldwide. Alt Penedes offers a rich cultural and architectural atmosphere. It is a wonderful destination for holiday villa rental outside Barcelona.
