San Pablo Airport Sevilla (SVQ) dates from 1914 when a permanent aerodrome was established on land used for an air show and for the first flight between Europe and Africa. The present terminal was opened in 1989, it was designed to reflect the three traditional components of Seville culture: the mosque, the palace and the orange trees.

Sevilla Airport is located about 10 kilometers north east of the city. Getting from the airport into the center of Sevilla is easy and quick. You can catch a Sevilla Airport Taxi, the journey will take you around 15 minutes, depending on which time of the day you travel. The taxi rank is just outside the terminal building. Between 6:15 and 23:00 there is a bus service to the city center that run every half hour, the journey takes between 20-30 minutes. There are also a number of leading car hire companies based at the airport.

Though Sevilla Airport does have some international traffic, it basically deals with domestic traffic, which represents almost 80% of the total. The annual number of passengers is around 3 million and increasing. There are regular national flights to most major Spanish destinations, among these are Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia, Mallorca, Gran Canaria and Tenerife. There are international charter flights and regular international flights to Amsterdam, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, London , Lisbon, Milan, Munich, and Paris.
